Hope C. Tarr, Ph.D.

Hope. C. TarrHope holds a master’s degree in developmental psychology and a Ph.D. in education. Attuned to Reiki in the 1990s, she has 20 years of experience as a Reiki practitioner, third degree, treating clients with a broad range of clinical challenges including arthritis and sciatica, fractures, post-operative recovery, cancer and side effects of chemotherapy, anxiety and depression, grief and loneliness. Clients report relief from pain and discomfort, more rapid recovery times from surgery and illnesses and an overall boost in energy level and mood.

“I believe passionately in preserving the dignity and health of the individual at all life stages, but especially in the “golden” years. A holistic form of energy healing, Reiki is 100% safe and compatible with all other treatment modalities, Western and Eastern. Unlike many conventional therapies, Reiki addresses the root cause of “dis-ease,” restoring balance, energy and harmony to body and mind. During a one-hour session, I will lightly lay or hover my hands over the client’s body, touching on key chakras, or energy centers, as well as addressing specific areas of concern. In many cases, the recipient falls asleep – Reiki is that relaxing!”
