Laura Kaye graduated with distinction in her music major from Barnard College of Columbia University (BA). A New York City native, Laura has lived in London, England where she studied with professors from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts; in Hamburg, Germany, where she studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst and in Chiari, Italy where she made her Italian singing debut with the International Institute of Vocal Arts. Laura has performed hundreds of times in opera, operetta, musical theatre, classical theatre and cabaret, both Off-Broadway and on tour at venues including NY City Center and Wolf Trap in Washington, D.C. She also works in film and television. In addition to her extensive performing career, for over a decade, Laura was the Personal Assistant to many high level clients, including a notable singer for The King and I; West Side Story and My Fair Lady. Laura was responsible for organizing and ensuring the safe transfer of these considerable archives to the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. She also worked as a PA for the CFO of Time Warner during the Time Warner/AOL merger and more recently for a President Emeritus of Harvard University.
As a Cognitive Enrichment Specialist, I constantly utilize my national and international experiences, knowledge of foreign languages (German and Italian), my performing abilities and powers of improvisation, along with my absolute love of history and baked goods (I’m a pastry chef), to help create worthwhile, meaningful, inspiring, interactive, and joyous experiences for my clients. I use my superpowers of a well-honed imaginization combined with my sharp organizational faculties to create a caring and supportive environment. Being analytical and artistic helps me bring a unique perspective to the cognitive enrichment process by providing my clients with well-rounded options that spark joy!
